HiFi 3+
This BMW came to us for a complete audio overhaul. One of the first fully Focal Kevlar M build we have done.
The front stage consists of Focal Kevlar M midrange speakers which are integrated into the OEM midrange location using 3d printed mounts. We incorporated the Focal FRAK tweeters into the factory sail panels. The midbass speakers underneath the seats were replaced with Focal ISUBBMW woofers. These are engineered and designed to drop right into the factory mount. Speaker wires were ran into the door to make the midrange and tweeter fully active.
We created an enclosure in the trunk to house two Focal SUB 25 KXS subwoofers. The subwoofer enclosure hovers over a ventilated amp rack that houses two Mosconi Pro 5/30 Amplifiers. There is a designed grill in the front and rear of the enclosure to act as a pass through to move air from the trunk through the amp rack into the cabin when the ski pass is pulled down. Both of these panels easily detach to service the Mosconi amplifiers.
We used a Helix DSP Ultra S which resides under a removable panel in the trunk. This acts as the brain of our audio system, running the front 3 way, rear 2 way and subwoofers completely active. We integrated the Helix Conductor DSP controller in the center console in front of the iDrive for convenient operation.
Our audio system consists of three tuned presets. One to operate the factory radio, one to operate the addition of the HEC BT chip and one to operate our Astell & Kern SP3000.
