The customer wanted to add a high end component set of speakers to his new Can Am and do it in a way that fit the OEM style of the bike. What you see is a complete fiberglass shell with two magnetized cast acrylic inserts with press grilles. The pods bolt to the OEM panels using 1/4-20 inserts, so you can take them off and put them on repeatedly. The speakers bolt into the fiberglass shell with m5 inserts pressed into the fiberglass. I had to make a plug, then two molds to make my final, full fiberglass part. The pods are finished off with matching white pearl gloss paint and matte black speaker covers.
The subwoofer enclosure, made from stacked birch, houses a 8″ Focal Flax Subwoofer. The system is being powered by a Mosconi D2 100.4 DSP. Everything sits under a custom PVC trim panel with and angled trim ring and grille.
